Our firm is pleased to announce Sarah Gerdes has been named partner. The firm, now known as Sears, Bennett & Gerdes, LLP, specializes in representing community associations and performs legal services and transactions in the areas of real estate, contracts, business, estate planning and criminal defense. The new name, which is effective immediately, recognizes the contributions of Sarah Gerdes, who has been practicing law with the firm for more than 5 years, with a focus on Condominium and HOA law. Sarah is Board Certified in Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She received her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009, graduating at the top of her class with a specialization in business planning. Sarah joined our firm in 2009 and has worked in community association law, residential and commercial real estate, business law, estate planning and probate. She is certified by the State Bar of Texas and the U.S. District Court Southern District of Texas. Sarah has served as a member of various organizations including the Community Association Institute, the Fort Bend County Bar Association and the Texas Young Lawyers Association. Sarah and her husband have one daughter. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys marathon running, volunteering, hunting, and spending time with her family.
