Samantha Sears
Samantha Sears is a Senior Associate at Sears Bennett & Gerdes, LLP, where she focuses her practice on representing community associations throughout Texas, including subdivisions, townhomes, and condominiums. She is dedicated to helping her clients navigate the complexities of community governance and legal compliance with practical, effective solutions.
Born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, Samantha is a passionate advocate for the individuals and businesses in her community. Known for her strong work ethic, sharp legal mind, and genuine empathy, she is committed to resolving complex legal issues with diligence and integrity.
Samantha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Christian University in 2015, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2018. During law school, she distinguished herself as a leader and advocate: she was elected Vice President of the Student Bar Association, served as a Student Ambassador, and held the role of Senior Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy. She also interned with the Office of General Counsel at Baylor College of Medicine and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable John Donovan of the 14th Court of Appeals.
Before joining Sears Bennett & Gerdes in 2020, Samantha practiced at Hicks Davis Wynn, PC, gaining extensive litigation experience in medical malpractice defense, public utility law, and aviation and automobile accident cases.
Today, Samantha assists community associations with a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, restriction enforcement, collections, foreclosures, contract review, and ensuring compliance with current Texas laws. She is committed to making her clients’ responsibilities more manageable while helping their communities thrive.
