Tanner WIETHORN
Tanner Wiethorn is an Associate Attorney for Sears, Bennett & Gerdes, LLP. Mr. Wiethorn was born and raised in Houston, Texas, moving to Sugar Land in 2006. With a strong foundation in legal research, client advocacy, and case management, Mr. Wiethorn brings a detail-oriented approach to each matter, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive and effective legal support.
Mr. Wiethorn received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Houston Law Center. During law school, he gained practical experience by working on the Entrepreneur and Community Development Clinic, where he provided low cost work to members of the community looking for legal assistance and guidance. Mr. Wiethorn also worked as a Legal Intern as part of the corporate department at Walter P. Moore and Associates, Inc., an engineering firm, where he gained working knowledge of transactional work, risk management and business operations and would later become an Associate. Later, Mr. Wiethorn worked at Latham & Watkins, LLP as a Corporate Transaction Attorney where he managed and led teams of attorneys performing corporate due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Now, at Sears, Bennett & Gerdes, LLP, Mr. Wiethorn heads the deed restrictions department, where he primarily focuses on representing community associations and providing guidance on matters such as on issues such as easements, covenants, and zoning regulations. He is committed to delivering practical, cost-effective solutions that protect clients’ rights while adhering to all legal requirements and restrictions.
